Hi again guys! This is going to be my last Klonoa 3 concept drawing for a while. I'll be going back to my other stuff to catch up on some requests and self-commitments such as the Group Pic 2005, Tails Away and Chaotix of Tomorrow!

You guys have been a great help by constantly giving me encouraging feedback and wonderful compliments on my work. Many thanks to especially those who put so much time into each thing they say about me and of about others too within this vast and growing community of terrific and talented artists. ^_^

NEW VOLK CITY...? JUST HOW?

Cabbit doppelganger - Cool sketch Darkspeeds......wha, New Volk City? And it's that huge already?!? How did that happen (just curious)?

Darkspeeds - That is a very good question asked Cabbit (please don't hesitate to come up with some more! X3), right at the moment I don't have an official explanation for the development of a newer and bigger city of Volk in realm of Present Lunatea. I'm still in the planning stage of the new Klonoa 3 concepts so when the time comes I should be able to answer your question. ^_^

I guess maybe from gut feeling the community of Volk City just couldn't get enough from the warfare between each other so they had to expand their infrastructure and technology to gain the resources needed to overcome their demands for warfare (it is after all a city that is continously fighting at each other for politics and empowerment ne? XD). Their technology became so advance that they were able to make their own resources (i.e. plant, equipment, minerals etc..)! X3 Thinking rationally if that were to occur there would be more factories built and more people needed to tailor to the standards - i.e. to cope with the growing demand and supply of the people in New Volk City. ^_~


GUNTZ's SIDE OF THE PAST IN BRIEF

Haly K - WHOA..... Guntz and Janga working together...? I am confused!! x_x

Darkspeeds - Mmh! *chuckle* ^^ You should be confused...! XD If you want to know what happened it seems that Janga was really a good guy in the first place. If you want to know what happened it seems that Janga was really a good guy in the first place. He and (Guntz's father) Butz were the Red Fang who were both highly skilled bounty hunters and they were the finest in the world. Those pair of professionals was unstoppable until one day they took a crushing defeat from a mission gone wrong.

Butz and Janga had brought young Guntz to a mission with them after so many trials to test out his commitment to becoming a bunty hunter just like the old man and his best friend. Soon enough it was discovered that the person who hired the Red Fang for their expertise had deliberately led them into a trap which resulted in forcing Janga to sacrifice himself to be consumed by a new evil.

They were told by the stanger who hired them (who did not reveal his true identity and motive) that if they were to get out alive one of them had to die. Janga believed his words and wihtout hesitation made the sacrifice (you could imagine Guntz's father doing the same but Janga beat to him first - he also did it with good reason by telling him that Butz has a son to look after). As soon as Janga did what he was told to he was tricked by the stranger. Janga did not die as the result of the sacrifice - he was instead changed into a different person - and what's worse he was more powerful and full of intent to abide by his new master's wishes.

Janga was too fast and strong for Butz (man I'd prefer to call Guntz's father Shotguntz... Yeah let's call him that for now... X3 XD) and took his son away from him. Guntz was held by throat by Janga's left arm and right claw from behind - and one false move could fatally end his life. Shotguntz was under a lot of pressure and didn't know whether to kill his most closest and trustworthy friend or save his son.

From there on Guntz can only remember the fragments of a terrible aftermath. Guntz got knocked out by Janga in an instant and was unconscious for only a short while. He woke up and only remembered hearing a powerful gunshot. When he woke up he found blood everywhere - his father's blood. Shotguntz lay lifelessly on the ground. There was no breathing and he looked cold, his body continued to lay still on the floor. From there onwards Guntz believed to be what he saw with his own eyes, one of the greatest bounty hunters from the Red Fang bounty hunter clan was dead... And most importantly it was his father... The only family he's got.

Janga was next to his dead body and he gave Guntz a sinister stare at him, it lasted for several minutes. His claws covered in fresh blood. Janga licked them, smirked at him and walked away. Guntz could not believe what he saw... He was stunned and laid there in cold fear... He didn't believe that his uncle killed his father...! Uncle was a kind and modest man... He wouldn't do such a thing especially when Shotguntz was his best friend and bounty hunting partner in the world.

His body feeling weak for a little while, but with a little courage he snapped out his chill and dashed for Janga - he demanded some answers... But the moment he tried he fell down in a heap... He didn't know that he felt a very sharp pain until he moved his body - it appears that Janga has scrapped a deep mark on Guntz's back.

As Guntz collapsed Janga continued to walk away from the mess... The mess he had caused for the sake of sacrifice.

Moments later Guntz woke up from his heavy collapse and strode towards his old man who lied lifeless on the ground.

With tears almost drenching his clothes, dripping down to his white gloves with blood he cried over his father's dead body and swore vengeance to the one responsible for his death.

All he could think of was the one who left this mess...

Janga.

Anyway that was how Janga became evil and how also Guntz had grown up into a mature person and decided to follow his mission to take revenge for his father's loss. ^^ This is based on my ideas and perceptions for what I had of the official story in Klonoa series (they haven't told us much about Guntz, Butz or Janga did they? ^^).

I will explain a little later on how Janga became back to normal again, and how Guntz forgive him for the things he did to his father and himself. Finally to end this discussion I will also explain why Shotguntz is still alive and..... What he has become after Janga's defeat by Guntz... ^_~
