Cooper (the 'Glove Theif') is back again with another commission for me - this time featuring a new addition to the group - Static The Porcupine.

Essentially he wanted me to have the three characters who are good mates to do a group hug of some sort. After a browse through Google I found a photo shot of a sister and her two brothers being hugged in between as inspiration for this piece.  

I really like how there is a sense of light-hearted 'fun' portrayed in their poses. I kept it simple and cleaned up any excess.

I won't delve into too much detail since its five in the morning and I need to head for bed before I go to work at half past nine! lol
I love behind-the-scenes stuff and here are the usual photos and images to share with you - the pictures will do most of the talkin'.
Liasion with my client (a regular may I add) and offer the option of realistic anatomy of 'toon' styled. I presented a thumbnail and a sketch of the newcomer Static with realistic features of a porcupine and human body. Also found below is a 'toon' version of Static's face - almost looks like a wolf!

Contrast on each of the characters expressions was a crucial element in the illustration. I fixed up some anatomical features to the pose to keep thing
