So you like Huey Lewis and the News too? Awesome! I love their song "The Power of Love". As for liking 80's and 90's music, I like them both. I like 80's a little bit more due to its style though.

Im more into 60's and 70's music, but I really like Michael Jackson and Queen in the 80's. Maybe I should have voted for both though, since a lot of MJ's biggest songs came out in the 90's. And a few songs from the 90's by Queen are awesome, too.

I voted yuk, but I don't hate 80's and 90's music. I just find the lower production values annoying. The sound quality is never as clear. It gives a kind of warm feeling, but generally most of my music is from the last 10-15 years.

Totally lame answer time! I DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE YEAR/DECADE IT CAME OUT IN. :slow: If I listen to it, and I like it, then I like it. Regardless of what band it is or when it came out. I could hear a song by (random example) Fall Out Boy and like it, but not like the band overall. Granted, there are a few exceptions (coughJonasBrotherscoughMileyCyruscough) where regardless, I won't like it, but...:slow: Overall, decade and year doesn't matter if I like the song anyway...

:hmm: I'd have to go with the totally unoriginal both!! :dummy:

I wouldnt be able to choose because I always listen first and take note of the era later. If I like it, I listen. The End. Yep Im that easy to please :XD:

It would be very well mentioned that those two eras are the best in music. The new stuff is good... but I really love the new stuff when they have old school on it! ;p

Well, I like music from both decades. But I think the one I like the most is 80's. There's something special in that music, kinda more original to me. Lately I'm listening to M80 Radio [link] which only plays 70's, 80's and 90's music. It lets me compare the three decades and I really feel that I like more 80's and probably the early 90's. (Oh wow! Right now I'm listening to a cool theme of Bon Jovi! ('You give me love a bad name';) XXD

I listen to nearly all types of music, from any period of time. But, i shan't lie, thye 80's and the 90's are both favorite decades of mine. The 80s for having Hip Hop that wasn't crap, as well as the cheesy synthpop; and the 90s for the introduction of most forms of Electronica, of which i'm a large fan, Alternative bands such as Coldplay (Whom i do like, in spite of thinking Chris Martin is a twat), and, god forbid we forget, not only did the 90s produce some of the best videogames, in my opinion, with a few exceptions here and there today, the 90s had some of the best videogame music. It's a real shame that the music world these days is the way that it is.

I love the 80s and the 90s music, but the ones from the 90s even a little bit more, because, well, it is my childhood after all and all the songs are still an inspiration for today. we always had casettes, on which we were able to listen to the music before MP3 came along. I listened to the music each day, and so, each single song on casette developped into some kind of personal theme for this or that occasion. so yeah, this is why I like the music. ah, the good old times. :)

I listen to a good variety of music that comes from all sorts of decades.

Iron Maiden from the 80s

Metallica from the 80s, 90s and new stuff too.

Cell Dweller (Still new to that) from the 90s.

Nsync from the 90s

Disturbed from the 21st century.

Yeah I listen to a lot of different kinds of music.

...wait that's like...60's. um.

Really, I listen to whatever happens to catch my ear. XD; I'm not sure how to describe the types of songs I like...although now that you mentioned Huey Lewis and the News, I find myself listening to the only song of theirs I happen to have on my laptop right now...'The Power of Love'. XD I blame Back to the Future for that one!

I voted for both 80's and 90's. I appreciate any music really. I really don't have any collection of songs from certain musicians and artists...just a song from this guy, a song from that guy...(I'm weird! XD; ) but it's a mix of like. 60's - Present... :giggle:

the eighties strated us off right with some good solid rock ballads and some of the greatest bands to date. the nineties... what can you say it was the age of rnb when telling a girl you wanted to make love and get it on could be expressed in the most beautiful of ways. todays music has lost that art the talent pool in my opin is seriously on the down hill, and with no rnb i love you groups or some grade A soft rock we'll never get it back ...oh well i guess i'll keep my hopes with j-pop
