I just finished to read #208 and I have to agree that finally is getting in a lecture way that even me can understand cleary (before was confusing, with many jumping panels that made me wonder if was reading in the right way) I'm curious about the monker thunder guy. And I wonder if the blue thing is the only damn protagonist.
I dunno, up to their anniversary issue and after the war I though the series were going well... and after that, it really went downhill for me. Perhaps it was due to the flimzy artwork and new editor. I miss the work of other artists and the detail they put into their specific styles... nowadays it all seems to be drawn by one person, who kinda messes a serious situation with a all-too-cartoony-mangaish look.
That, and the romance factor is really, really, starting to irritate me. I'm not a big fan of Sonic x Sally, but all this girl trouble Sonic's facing is conflicting with the story. Maybe it would have been better off if they had avoided Sally x Sonic... I mean, she's growing up, yeah, but she's become such a brat after the break up when it comes to her duties.
I agree with you Darkspeeds, the comic Sonic the Hedgehog are just getting epic and cool, but what a shame that there is little you know about the comic Sonic, where I live people only know the only Sonic in the video game.
Yeah...the main villain beated, but replace with someone potentially stronger than him take his place, and then the heroes suffering (in some kind of way) XDD But I like a lot the story right now, the only thing missing is scourge
Meh. Iron Dominion is actually something I haven't been paying too much attention to, actually. I'm watching it, but this part seems a bit uninspiring, IMO. I like the fact that it nods to a much older saga, but atm I'm basically waiting for it to pass by.
Sonic Universe is so far a mixed bag for me. I loved reading up on the first four issues (obvious reasons), and the current Knuckles arc seems somewhat interesting (still need to read more on that), but I found this most recent Mobius: XX Years Later story to be the worst ever, especially by utterly destroying my favorite character in the series (if you guessed Chaos, you'd be wrong... but still close to the truth).
Shaddy? Well, he was my favorite. Now he's second to her. ^^
Yes. I can easily say that the comics have gotten much better. I started reading at about issue #185 and I liked it. After getting back issues I saw that the comics were in pretty bad shape back then. (Sorry Penders, but do you really have to make Tails say "Sizzling Swatbots" every panel?)
But, ever since Ian Flynn and the equally awesome Tracy Yardley! came in, the comic has rocked. The story and characters are much more intresting, and the art (under ~Yardley) fits the Sonic World perfectly.
Well- granted I never really cared for it in the past (more so I had a mass distaste for it |D) I think it's better than the last time I tried reading it. More so I like how the characters are being portrayed nowadays. I can tolerate it now lol
I've been collecting the comic since issue #37 (every issue) and have about 95% of the total comic (missing a few of the first few and about two of the specials). Ever since Ian was put in charge, the comic has gone downhill. He's more interested in "flavor of the month" characters instead of constant characters and even pushed favorite characters like Rotor and Tails out except for occasional appearances.
The last time i throughly read through an issue was Sonic universe 1. Though i was shown extracts from recent comics, the ones where eggman is insane and spouts quotes from youtube.
I was never a fan of it to begin with, i've never liked the series. I think its just cause they went completley off on their own with sonic, it hardly resembles the games. 8/ But i guess its been like that for a long time, though.
Thats just my opinion though. 83 I like a lot of things that people despise, and i'm sure its an awesome read for some people.
