Description

I love how this came out. It fits beautifully to the ending of this book, it's pretty much what happens right after Ash and Ruby's amazing escape at the Tomb of St. Monblur. They wake up to another day of exciting adventure, heading back to Cape Locke for Ruby's latest attempt at earning her fortune hunter's licence! ;)

This is the official cover art to the first book of GRAND HUNTER Book 01: Fortune Islands. The book is compiled with close to 200 pages worth of comic and advertising content.

Be sure to collect you signed copy at The Summer of Sonic 2010 this year (7th August, Saturday) in Sherpard's Bush Pavalion via London, United Kingdom. More details to come via my deviantART journal.

I'd like to start with the colors on this, because I think it's one of the biggest strengths of this picture. It's smooth, vibrant, fits the scene well. and really makes the overall scenery come to life.

Next is the shading, which I think is very smooth and has been implemented well. You really did a good job with the sunlight effects too.

The scenery itself is fantastic with both the foreground and the background. I like the effects you gave to both of them too. The water and the sky came out great as well.

For the characters, I like how their poses came out, and I thought you put a nice amount of detail into them which is certainly a plus.

I'm a little torn on how to say about Ruby's arm in regards to crit or not. One side is telling me the lines and the lighting effect is a bit rough, but the other side is saying the light effect just seems to make it look that way.

But other than that, this is a very fine piece, and a job well done!
