My direction for the alternate ending adapted to this fan comic project did not alter one bit since December 2001.


I'm amazed that after 8 years I still managed to depict the scenario the way I percieved it when I finished the ending to Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast.


I always felt that after all the madness and desperation Sonic and crew went through to save Earth they felt the need to kick back and be thankful they're alive and still have a future together. I wanted them to not take what happened for granted and appreciate the idea that there's still hope in the world.


So in this scene, after Tails and Dr. Eggman shooked hands for the first time in acknowledgement of their teamwork, Knuckles and Rouge sharing a bit of much needed romance, it comes to Sonic and Amy.


I felt that Sonic felt the need to owe Amy something... I came to a surprise and more of an unexpectation since Sonic's been ignoring Amy the whole way through the game and the comic adaptaion... So out of desperation and thanks he shared a moment of affection for Amy.


Bless him and Amy... Let's continue on to see what lies ahead in the next page!
