SONIC BOOM Unwrapped - Studies (Sonic @the Desert)

Did some studies of Sonic the Hedgehog by analyzing the Sonic Boom TV series trailer before I rushed myself into penciling the first page to my new Sonic fan comic series.


I sketched some Sonic expressions and poses that captivated me from the trailer by using a (01) Micron Pen (I'm starting to really love these pens! They're much better than the Sharpie pens I used to use for my pen drawings).


After scanning those sketches I placed them on a canvas and played around with colors and textures to see if I can find a style that I can use to distinguish the comic. I'm liking this earthy textured look and I'm diggin' the temperature of the colors used on this palette. 


Anyways a job well done I say, and now it's time to get some sleep before I work on some more on the project. 


And I shall say this again: Sonic Boom Sonic looks so damn sexy.
