Pirate Plunder Panic GNP (FAN Q and A Page 98-99) by darkspeeds Pirate Plunder Panic GNP (FAN Q and A Page 98-99) by darkspeeds
:star: For more details on the (unofficial) Pirate Plunder Panic graphic novel project click here. :star:

And here are your questions answered by Tracy himself. ;)

Frequent updates on the project can be found here:

The purpose of the project is threefold:

i) It's a gift to one of the greatest additions to the Archie Comic's talent pool working on Sonic the Hedgehog series (of all time) - :iconyardley: He's been working for over 8 years as a professional freelance illustrator and contributed countless illustrations and comic pages to my all time favourite comic series. His persistence, dedication to good story telling through sequential art and passion for the Sonic series is a killer combination. It's about time the guy deserve something special and this project is a small token of my appreciation.

ii) Another portfolio submission for Archie Comics - a company that I'd like to work for one day (legitimately that is, and from anywhere in the world). I've already impressed staff of all levels at the Archie booth during my two visits to International Comic Cons at San Diego and well it doesn't hurt to do it again! My Sonic Art Collection magazine and now the Pirate Plunder Panic graphic novel are books that will last. Knowing the people that I admire (who make the comics happen) and who possess a copy of my work is very satisfying.

iii) I genuinely enjoy working on a project like this. It teaches me ALOT and I gain ALOT from it - in ways people may not comprehend from face value. And also, especially when it's based off my favourite comic series I can't go wrong.

Nevertheless this project has been on a three week turnover. It started at New Years and if I can finish this book by next week I would have proven myself and to anyone who may realise my talents in illustration, graphic design and management that I can make a 114 page book in just three weeks. Way past cool!

:star: CREDITS :star:

Also I'd like to thank all of the participants who have contributed their FANART, QUESTIONS (to Tracy) and SHOUT-OUTS. You guys did a great job!
I'd like to thank my two contributing artists to the project for their amazing artwork: :iconliyuconberma: and :iconzazakun011:.
I'd like to thank :icondawnbest: and :iconth3antiguardian: for their special PIN-UP artwork.
I'd like to thank all of the Archie staff who have passed on their messages for the 'Thank you Tracy' page. Respect!
I'd like to thank :iconhappyaggro: who naturally proof-reads my work - she's a life saver.

And finally I'd like to thank Tracy Yardley for being awesome. Keep on being awesome dude. I'll see you at a convention in the distant future for sure (whether it be Summer of Sonic or one of the Comic Cons via East/West coast). *thumbs up*

I think you picked out the right questions out of all the ones I sent to you FOR SURE. :)
Tracy's choice on Napoleon was an interesting one! And it's great to see his views on comics in education. This section is by far my favorite one of the whole book, because Tracy gets to answer the things his fans want to know.
On a side note: I LOVE how Bean himself got to ask a question... =P

Yeah I know right? It's pretty darn nifty to have Tracy answering a question from BEAN himself. :D

Like this section alot too, it's great to hear his insight on what the fans have for an inquiry. ;)

Yeah, I really felt great about the fans getting to know him more by asking him the questions themselves. That was a wonderful idea!

"I have seen many people who have claimed"
Shaw (Specifically, Scott's cartooning work on the original Sonic miniseries).
"thoughtful, artistic, and instructive"
Both Reinstein and Lundquist have the same "Hi Tracy, love your work and boy do I have a lot of questions to ask!" intro. Was this an error or did they both say the same thing?
"your panels, what kind"
"and conversely, I enjoy"
"Hey Tracy, do you"
"It's long." You had it right on "it's a bear", due to it being "it is a bear". In this case "its long" would be wrong because "its" implies possession. Its long WHAT?
"Back in my prime" would flow better than "back in prime" since it makes it easier to know what "prime" is referring to.

For Bean: "Excuse me Mr Yardley, I must know! Out of all the pictures you drew of moi, which is your favorite?" I suppose you could keep it as is, since it's through Twitter and it's, well, Bean, but go for how you want.

Whoops! That was actually a repeat. I've replaced it with something else! :D

And thanks once again for looking for those errors and correction them

And gee whiz! So many commas missing like last time! I'll have to think carefully about how I place my own commas next time I write!

Glad I finally got a straight answer on which Metal it is. Also forgot that Tracy worked on Babylon Rising.

Now when my question is on book, you can use my real name (Eero Sivula). I definitely think my real name deserves to be there, cause if I show this for my friends when there's my username, nobody won't believe me

It looks like Tracy answered the first two questions with the same answer. Did this really happen, or is it another typo?
