taeshilh --- For her love for Sonic The Hedgehog old-school style. ^_~ (I knew you would've said something about that last page for Tails Away! XD XD XD Nows it's my turn to show you what I can really do with the pic. ;)


mayshing --- For producing that awe-inspiring Sonic X-Mas pic “Giving Stars” and giving me that extra clue as to how to achieve the old-school colouring look by using a simple technique of 'removing the inked lines...' XD XD XD ^_^

What I have to Say


Well there's nothing more to say about it beside the fact that I'm most happy to be able to achieve this style! O_O;;;

Yay! ^___^

It's so awesome... That feeling inside you indescribable after all those years you try to figure out how they do it. Now I'm one step closer to producing pics as good as these in future!

I know, I know... My pic looks very basic and not quite up to standard at this stage... ^_^;;; But I hope to do at least one of the full pics (like the ones on Sonic Jam! Check the link above for some example! X3) sometime during my life. ^_~

Details


Time: Many hours. X_X XD (cuz I was only experimenting! ^_~)

Method: Well I used:

- No Layers! X_X
- Paint
- Airbrush
- Eraser
- Wand

And that's just about it... Only the basic tools are needed for it. ^_^ I didn't add any contrast or brightness or neither did I adjust the colours with
colour balance. ^_~

If a pic like this that is quite close to the original can be produced with only the basic tools then even you can do it too! ^___^

(Yes there's nothing special to it! Have Adobe Photoshop for a program with you. ;) XD)

That look's Amaizing, I love the CG and you have done the shadeing really well. Sonic and tails poses have a natural feel to them and look good. I think that sonics 4 head may look a little flat and his left looks like it is situaited a little to far up.

I really likr the way tails turned out in this pic, great work.
