It's about time I did something for the character Fei.

This is a comparison of the past and present. The picture should be pretty self explanatory even for those who did not know what happen to the only remaining 'Ma' sibblings. [link]

I feel sorry for Fang Xin, who is the youngest of the three siblings, because she doesn't want to lose another sibling when Fei journeys with Ashworth and crew.

But then again she feels that it is something that Fei must do and that she is mature enough to accept his departure to seek for the true essence in martial arts later in the series. Don't worry she is the strong willed type of character she won't sulk if Fei goes... XXD In fact it's that kind of situation where it's a positive because she can look forward to his return when he's done with his crusade.


Anyway the title says: Yong Yuan Hua.

In Chinese that means 'Forever Blooming.

That spot is Feng's favourite place to be when he seeks meditation. In fact legend has it that a Brave Warrior of the Wind saved his kingdom from the Fire Army. The story goes like this:


It was once said that a Brave Warrior of the Wind stood at this cliff edge and flew with grace like a swallow.

He was fearless and courageous and swore to protect his kingdom.

One day a war sparked between Wind and Fire Kingdoms.

Below him and the mighty cliffs was the Fire Army that wanted to claim his land and people.

With rage and despair the 'flames' destroyed much of Wind Kingdom.

But the Brave Warrior of the Wind came like a powerful gust, as strong as any typhoon man have ever seen and eventually the flames of the Fire Army vanished in ashes.

That was how the Warrior of the Wind became the hero that he was centuries ago.

The cliffs of Mount Prosperity are a reminder of his courage, strength and promise to protect the Wind Kingdom.


The lesson in this story is to teach the practitioner to stand strong and conquer with confidence in any situation. This was one of Feng's favourite morals and so going to that spot always reminds him of this.

Another reason why Feng likes this spot very much is that it's treated like a special/secret spot where he would take his younger siblings out in the night and watch the beautiful moon and stars together with them (as picture on the left). He would tell them great stories and teach them about the wonders of martial arts.

It used to be their favourite past time... But ever since Feng's passing Fei and Fang Xin come back there every now and then to pay respects to their older brother.

I guess the reason why that tree at the cliff edge blooms throughout all seasons is because the spirit of two great warriors (The Brave Warrior of the Wind and Feng) reside there... ^_^
