  • The Grand ASHWORTH Fortune: Volume 01, Chapter 03 - Expect The Unexpected
    (edited on 24th April 2008)

  • Format: Western, reading from LEFT to RIGHT


    Last night was very interesting for me. While I was doodling some designs for Ashworth's new attire in my home office I revised my back story for the first book and tried to tie it in with some very refereshing ideas to make the plot more interesting.

    It was a long and challenging process because I had to make sure that there were no plotholes in the story if I were to implement the new ideas. At the same time I had to make sure that the story still remained consistent with what I planned in the near future.

    I can tell you now a few things:

  • Ashworth's personality changed for the better (to fit the story). He is not the semi-emo character you think he is now. He's much more upbeat and enthusiastic but knows how to keep cool and be serious when he needs to.

  • All the main characters will show up instead of having our two main protagonists (Ruby & Ashworth) find them on an seek-for-crew-while-adventuring basis (i.e. ONE PIECE style where Luffy naturally recruits his nakama). That means Fei, Parmir, Healix, Geena & Laureen will all be present when Ashworth introduced them to Ruby.

  • Three new characters (from the good side) will also be created for the purpose of the new story. The names of these characrers are: Leon, Wintereis, Great Leader Sandra.

    Leon (nicknamed Magician) has the ability to mimic other people's styles and magic for a limited time. He also has his own signature power of manipulating gravity.

    Wintereis has the ability to command powerful ice, water and a hidden elemental magic.

    Great Leader Sandra is in control of a free-for-all guild for fortune hunters called: The Grand ASHWORTH Fortune.

  • Designs for the new characters have not been attempted yet. I will do them tonight.


    Anyway thanks again to everyone for your lovely comments and input on the cartoon series so far! There's so much to add to the plot and character developments of the cartoon series - it's very exciting times indded for me. :)

    Ok, i know that this is a really late comment, but i have been so busy recently.... ^^;

    anyways, Ruby is really lucky that she hasnt been detected yet, that was really close! ^^;
    anyways, cheers for creating new characters. I wonder how you got the name Wintereis. Because the word is a german one and means "winter ice" in english. :nod: and the name is already a good hint to his powers.

    oh so your changing things! changes are good XD I just change Skull look! he doesn't have quills but hair now XD (Sega won't sue me XD) yay XD

    I think he looks awesome ^_~ (better then before!)

    Well if that isn't Ashworth. xD So,are Fei and the others already with him when he met Ruby? That's the part I don't really understand. oô His new personalety sounds cool,can't wait to see him. And the new characters sounds interessting. I'll look forward to see their designs. Great page as always. ^^
